Within the Agricultural Economics department at the faculty of Bioscience engineering the research activities of the Agri-food marketing and chain management division concentrate on the agri-business sector (agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, food processing and distribution), both on the domestic and foreign markets (EU, Central and Eastern Europe, south-east Asia and Africa). Within Ghent University’s supporting framework for collaboration with industry, the business development center Food2Know focusses on innovation in feed, food and health. The group brings together different scientific experts throughout the food value chain and has large expertise on IP management, dissemination and valorization activities in national as well as international projects. Moreover, the project managers of Food2Know are experienced in the scientific as well as administrative coordination of large projects. The group can build on a strong network and good relations with feed and food related sector organizations, industrial partners and governmental organizations on regional as well as EU and global level.
